Consistency Is What Matters
The new year is well underway, and I don’t know about you, but I already feel like it has been 2023 for quite some time now. The excitement of a new year and the determination to practice healthy habits every day is already waning.
I started wondering, “Does it really matter if I do something every day?”
After listening to a bunch of podcasts and reading about new year’s resolutions and habit formation, I learned that we do not have to do something every day to make progress—the real point is to do something most days.
The real point is to be consistent, not perfect. With consistent effort, we can achieve our goals and make meaningful progress over time.
So, this year, instead of getting caught up in the new year’s excitement of doing something every single day, I am going to focus on being consistent and making healthy choices most days.
