What do you think of when you think of the word, “strength?”
These are some of the things I think of:
- Strength of character
The word, “strength” can apply to many different situations, but the basic word just means to withstand pressure.
What does it mean to withstand pressure and have strength?
- For me, it means turning off the TV before a few episodes of a show turns into a binge-watching session.
- It means showing up to my job and doing the best that I can, even though I do not have direct supervision.
- It means getting up at 4:44 a.m. to run four mornings a week and withstanding the comfort of my warm, cozy bed.
- It means speaking up for those who do not have the opportunities I had.
Have strength does not just apply to our physical bodies—it applies to our minds and spirits as well.
We all have the ability to withstand pressure.
It just takes a little strength.
