I am a fitness and communication professional with a wide range of experience spanning more than 25 years. I hold the following certifications:

  • Road Runners Club of America (RRCA)-certified run coach
  • RYT 200 (Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, 200 hours)

I specialize in helping individuals and groups reach their fitness goals and have taught almost every kind of group exercise class imaginable since the early ’90s.

I believe that fitness and getting in shape should be FUN. I help people set and reach their fitness goals by developing comprehensive workouts that include a variety of exercises, weights, machines, drills, and games to challenge their body and mind. I create programs that fit each person’s fitness level, lifestyle, and goals.

As a result of training with me, clients notice that they are stronger and more flexible, and they are able to work out longer and harder. They see benefits in their everyday life, too—they have more energy and improved mental concentration. They look better and feel better. Most importantly, they have learned what they need to know to continue working out and improving their health.

Nutrition plays an incredibly important role in a person’s overall fitness and health. Using my copyrighted Weight Loss Principles as a guide, I teach clients how to commit to sound nutrition principles to get the most out of their fitness programs and their lives.

My continuing interest in health and fitness has led me to use my writing and communication skills to educate people on these issues. I am a public speaker on the subject of fitness and have spoken to various groups throughout the years about the importance of leading a fit and healthy lifestyle. I currently teaches several classes a week at 24/Seven Family Fitness, the Richmond Hill YMCA, and The Ford Plantation.

In addition to my fitness career, I am the Director of Communications and Marketing at The Ford Plantation, a private residential and sporting community in Richmond Hill. I also run my own marketing / communication business, providing quality writing, design, and marketing / communication expertise to various clients.

I have a double major in journalism and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Desktop Publishing Specialist Certificate from The George Washington University. My husband, Ed (an Operations Manager at Gulfstream and a retired Naval Officer and Aviator) and we have three teenage children.
